What to expect on the day

We are thrilled you are taking on Palace to Palace for The Prince’s Trust this October. Expect to see around 2000 other cyclists taking part with you, all in aid of young people facing adversity across the UK.

All participants will set off in waves. Ultra riders, will power up their pedals between 6:45am to 7:00am. Those riding the Classic 45-mile route will start in waves from 7:15am to 9:00am. You will be able to select your own start time during the registration process.

Your race pack will sent to you around 2-4 weeks prior to the big day. We'll notify you when to expect your pack via email so keep an eye on your inbox! The pack will contain your rider t-shirt (if you opted in), your bib and timing chip as well as any merchandise you have ordered. Your full guide will be emailed separately, and you will be able to download it from here too!

As you set off on the fully-supported route with water stations and mechanics, you'll take in many iconic sites and views. After your triumphant effort, you'll be able to celebrate with friends, family and colleagues at the festival finish, with plenty of refreshment options and a free massage before the festival closes at 5:00pm.

Coach tickets are priced at £20 each and can be bought during registration. If you didn't purchase a ticket during registration and would like one, please log into the My Registration web page and click ‘merchandise’ to purchase your ticket. Bikes will be transported in a trailer behind the coach and will be stacked in a way to prevent damage and will not be bubble wrapped.

If you are taking part in the 90 Ultra mile ride we recommend taking the earliest coaches at 5:45 to allow plenty of time to get to the start line. If you are signed up for the 45-mile Classic you can sign onto any of the coaches from 6am onwards. If you think you might take a little longer to complete the ride we strongly recommend you select an early start time and book an earlier coach so you have more time to complete the event.

On the day, please meet at the Coach Point at Royal Windsor Racecourse 30 mins before your departure time to allow time for bikes to be packed into trailer. This will be clearly marked by a flag and a map will be sent to participants ahead of the event. Bikes will be stacked in a way to prevent damage and will not be bubble wrapped.
